Tucker: Water supply laced with anti-depressants is coming, ‘we’re finally getting to see what their utopia looks like’

As part of a monologue addressing the lack of family formation abetted by Democrats and abortion-reimbursing corporations, father-of-four Tucker Carlson has decried the emptiness or meaninglessness of contemporary, middle-class life for the Netflix generation.

“You have to wonder, how long before Democrats sponsor legislation to distribute free cats to young people in the cities, placebos to replace the families they can no longer have,” he asserted Tuesday on “Tucker Carlson Tonight.”

Perhaps in a callback to the classic dystopian novel “Brave New World” by Aldous Huxley, Carlson added, presumably metaphorically or theoretically, “That’s coming, along with SSRIs in the water supply, so you don’t have to think too much about it. We’re finally getting to see what their utopia looks like. Hope you feel better.”

Carlson was referring to a class of antidepressant drugs known as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors.

One of the Fox News host’s continuing themes is the long-range demographic and spiritual implications of the country’s low birth rate, and he offered a theory as to why America’s leadership seems unconcerned.

“The more atomized and unhappy American society becomes, the easier it is for them to control. Fewer marriages and babies and family-owned homes means more rootless and dissatisfied people. It means an entire nation of desperately unhappy grad students. Sandy Cortez could become the queen of a country like that…more solitude, less human connection, less meaning, fewer babies,” he said on his eponymous show Tuesday evening.

Last August, pundit Ben Domenech similarly claimed on Fox News that family life repudiates the ideology of woke leftists.

Carlson summarized the contradiction in the messaging that liberal elites seem to be pushing: “We’re telling [young people] that we’re not gonna do a thing to make it easier for you to have your own children or your own family because families are for the rich and the poor. Families are for the tech tycoons in Napa; they’ve got a ton of kids. And for the Haitians huddled underneath the bridges at the border in south Texas, they’ve got a ton of kids too. But for you, a middle-class American, sorry. Your deepest desires are far beyond reach.”

“Citibank will pay you not to reproduce so you can remain alone in your cube. And if you’re not fortunate enough to work at Citibank, Sandy Cortez will step in, and for the first time in her life, build something. In this case, she’ll build government-funded abortion camps on federal land just to make sure you never have to experience the burden of holding your own baby or being unconditionally loved by your own children. You’re liberated now. Let’s celebrate with brunch,” he noted sarcastically.

Carlson was alluding to an actual proposal by U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.). He often refers to the politician as “Sandy from Westchester,” apparently as a way to call attention to the upscale suburban neighborhood where she grew up in contrast to the working-class Bronx-area district that she represents.

Carlson went on to praise CNN anchor Christi Paul for putting her family first.

Lamenting hollow careerism and the void that it creates, Carlson painted a dismal picture of “low-paid drone work at some soulless digital company punctuated by brunch on the weekends, Netflix and white wine at night, forever until you die alone with no descendants to remember you. Does the prospect of that fill you with joy or make you a little anxious? If it makes you a little anxious, no problem because we have Xanax. Also, we have legalized weed so you can consider yourself liberated.”

“What we described is not an overstatement. That is the life of millions of college-educated young people are living right now and facing for the foreseeable future, which is to say forever…” he continued.

The Fox News host particularly called out U.S. Secretary of the Treasury Janet Yellen, the official whom he claimed is responsible for destroying the country’s economy. “So you can’t afford to get married, or buy a house, or have children, much less raise them yourself in a two-parent family on a single income, as every generation of Americans did for hundreds of years in this country, but for you, none of that is possible. Only private equity people, people like Janet Yellen…can afford normal families now.”

With a degree of satire and irony, the Fox News host also called out various Big Business entities, as alluded to above, who plan to pay for employee abortions. “When you love someone, your main concern is that they never reproduce.”
