Ukraine says Vladimir Putin survived an attempt on his life shortly after invasion

Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin survived an attempt on his life shortly after he ordered his country’s military to invade neighboring Ukraine on February 24, a Ukrainian government official claimed.

Separately, a former top-level British government administrator in a CIA-equivalent agency claims that Putin’s alleged declining health provides an “elegant” way for the weakened leader’s political rivals in Moscow to internally oust him from power in a palace coup.

Ministry of Defense official Kyrylo Budanov told the Ukrainian Pravda news outlet that “There was an attempt to assassinate Putin, He was even attacked, it is said, by representatives of the Caucasus, not so long ago. This is non-public information. [It was an] absolutely unsuccessful attempt, but it really happened…It was about two months ago,” the Washington Examiner reported.

During the course of Russia’s brutal invasion of Ukraine, the fog of war has resulted in the spread of unconfirmed information of various kinds by both sides in the eastern European conflict, however, as part of what some might consider a companion propaganda war.

“The Russian president has reportedly avoided five assassination attempts throughout his time in office. These attempts date back to 2000,” the Examiner added.

“Budanov did not directly link the assassination attempt to the Ukraine war, and Putin has a number of well-established enemies in the region from previous conflicts,” the Daily Mail added about the Caucasus area that includes Azerbaijan and Georgia.

Ukraine President Zelenskyy has also reportedly survived multiple assassination attempts since the invasion commenced. “Anti-war elements within Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB)” have foiled several of these plots, according to The Times of London.

In the meantime, rumors continue to circulate that Putin has cancer, Parkinson’s disease, or is suffering from other maladies.

The latest prognostication comes from a former boss of a British spy agency who has implied that Putin’s health issues will force him out of power and land him in a mental health facility or a long-term medical care facility by next year.

On a podcast, Sir Richard Dearlove, a former head of the U.K.’s Secret Intelligence Service (known as MI6), asserted that “I’m really going to stick my neck out. I think he’ll be gone by 2023. Probably into the sanatorium, from which he will not emerge as leader of Russia.”

With a macho reputation, ex-KGB officer Putin, 69, who has a black belt in Judo, has controlled Russia with an iron hand since 1999, including a stint as prime minister.

“If my thesis were fulfilled and Putin did disappear into a sanatorium, I think he’s the likely stand-in,” Dearlove theorized in reference to potential Putin successor, the hardline Security Council head and ex-FSB chief Nikolai Patrushev.

“And of course the stand-in [in] this scenario probably becomes permanent. I mean, you know there is no succession in the Russian leadership. They certainly don’t succession-plan,” Dearlove insisted, while also suggesting that “Putting Putin in the medical facility would be the ‘elegant’ alternative to a coup,” the New York Post reported.

Under Article 92 of Russia’s constitution, low-profile Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin is the official who should take power as acting president if or when Putin is indisposed, but that may not be the current plan in the Kremlin.

“During his interview, Dearlove also predicted that the Russian regime might ‘break apart’ over the next 12 to 18 months due to the West’s sanctions imposed on the country, the conflict in Ukraine, and Russia’s current military performance,” Newsweek added.

“Earlier this week, U.S. film director Oliver Stone said that the Russian president has already struggled with and overcome cancer during the time in which the filmmaker focused his work on the Russian president,” Newsweek noted.

Concerned about poisoning, Putin also reportedly uses food tasters to sample the cuisine before he sits down for a meal.

  1. I’m making over $17k a month working part time. I kept hearing other people tell me how much money they can make online so I decided to look into it. Well, it was all true.
    This is where i started… http://workbz.com

  2. ‘Live by the sword, die by the sword’, Mr. Putin. There is no such thing as peace and safety for those who deprive others of it. Cancer seems to find those who are constantly worried or anxious, too.

  3. (During his interview, Dearlove also predicted that the Russian regime might ‘break apart’ over the next 12 to 18 months due to the West’s sanctions imposed on the country, the conflict in Ukraine, and Russia’s current military performance,)-

So why wouldn’t they launch a nuclear attack, with nothing left to lose?

“Our” leaders are doing a great job. Who cares about inflation or anything else after a little nuclear war…

  4. Interesting hearsay, but, if true, how have these events affected Putin`s plans, let alone his behavior?

  5. Whatever our so-called Western Truth Media is telling the public here is probably 175 degrees the other way, otherwise known as complete BS.

  6. You just got to know they are lies when the truth sounds better. The entire Ukraine fiasco has been one lie on top of another to cover the real truth of why Russia invaded and why are we involved? Are we saying there was no diplomatic process to follow?
    So who is BSn who?

  7. Propoganda propoganda ,, there is so many lies coming out of the lame stream media, you just can’t believe anything without seeing it with your own eyes,,,welcome to fvck Joe Biden s build back better assclownS,,,,,,,,FJB,,,,,,,
