Sen Hawley lays out ‘devastating timeline of woke nonsense’ from Biden admin as Afghanistan fell

Abigail Marone, who is the press secretary for Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO), tweeted out some of his comments concerning the woke issues that the Biden administration was laser-focused on instead of Afghanistan as it fell to the Taliban.

“THREAD: @HawleyMO lays out a devastating timeline of the woke nonsense the Biden Admin was fixated on while they ignored the impending crisis in Afghanistan. ‘Joe Biden and his team were more focused on their culture war than they were on protecting Americans,'” she began on Twitter.

“On June 11, Sec. Austin said he couldn’t give an answer when asked if the US military was racist. Instead, he talked about supporting ‘equity’ One week later, 21 districts & 9 provinces had fallen under Taliban control in Afghanistan. Afghan fighters began abandoning their posts,” she continued, repeating Hawley’s comments on the matter.

“On June 21, Sec. Blinken announced that the ‘Progress Flag,’ would fly at the State Dept. to celebrate ‘diversity and intersectionality’. The very next day, the Taliban seized the main Afghan trade gateway,” another tweet asserted.

The hits just kept coming as Hawley showed just how foolish the Biden administration had been during the bloody debacle, “On June 23, Gen. Milley said he wanted to understand ‘white rage’ and defend the Biden Admin’s focus on white extremism in the military. The very next day, US intelligence assessed that the Afghan government would collapse within 6 months of our withdrawal.”

“On July 1, Sec. Blinken was changing US Passports to create new selections for ‘non binary, intersex, and gender nonconforming’. The very next day, American troops withdrew from Bagram air base,” Hawley recounted.

“On July 14, Sec. Blinken invited the UN to formally investigate ‘the scourge of racism, racial discrimination, and xenophobia in the US’. At the exact same time, the Taliban offensive was surging across Afghanistan,” he recalled.

“On Aug 9, Sec. Austin was crafting a controversial, COVID-19 vaccine mandate for service members. The very next day, US intelligence warned that the Afghan government would collapse within 90 days or sooner,” the senator stated.

“On Aug 17, Jake Sullivan said the Taliban was helping to provide ‘safe passage’ for Americans fleeing Afghanistan. One week later, a terrorist attack at Kabul left 13 American service members dead, at least 167 civilians wounded, and hundreds of Americans left behind enemy lines,” Hawley concluded.

Hawley’s timeline comes after he vowed to force a vote on President Biden’s State Department nominees Thursday. He blames Biden for the “disastrous” withdrawal of the military from Afghanistan and warned that his failure to accept responsibility is “dangerous.” Hawley is demanding that Biden’s top national security and defense officials resign.

Last week, Hawley announced that he was placing a “hold” on a number of State Department nominees in order to force a vote on the Senate floor, according to Fox News.

“There’s gotta be accountability for what has happened in Afghanistan. It was a total debacle,” Hawley declared. “It is Joe Biden’s fault. He planned it. He executed it. It was a disaster.”

“It is not acceptable to abandon hundreds of American civilians to the enemy. It is not acceptable to see 13 American soldiers die and say it was an ‘extraordinary success’ – those are Joe Biden’s words,” Hawley stated in an interview with Fox News. “That is ridiculous. It is outrageous. It is offensive, and it is also not acceptable to say this is somebody else’s problem, but not ours.”

“[Defense Secretary] Lloyd Austin ought to resign. [Secretary of State] Tony Blinken ought to resign. Jake Sullivan, the national security adviser, he ought to resign, at a minimum,” he asserted. “And so far, to my knowledge, Biden has fired nobody. He has not even admitted he has done anything wrong.”

“I think he doesn’t want to admit that there was any failure at all,” Hawley added. “This is the guy who still says this was a ‘great success,’ and if it was such a success, why would you fire anybody? He is totally, totally out of touch with reality and it is dangerous.”

“There are hundreds of American civilians left behind enemy lines, and they are still there,” the senator said. “There are still Americans trapped there, left to ISIS, left to the Taliban. It is a disgrace.”

Hawley continued, “If Chuck Schumer tries to jam through Biden nominees in the State Department or the Department of Defense, I am going to make the Senate vote, I am going to go to the floor and I am going to talk about Afghanistan, I am going to talk about their failures, and I am going to push to hold them accountable.”

And that is exactly what he did:
