The public has been going gaga over U.S. Olympic wrestler Tamyra Mensah-Stock, and for good reason.

Unlike anti-American bellyachers Megan Rapinoe and Gwen Berry, Mensah-Stock loves America and is grateful for the opportunities it’s afforded her.

Moreover, unlike Rapinoe and Berry, both of whom suffered stinging defeats in this year’s Olympics, she’s a gold medal-wearing winner and not a pouting loser.

On Tuesday, Mensah-Stock, a Houston native, became the first black woman in history to win gold representing the United States in wrestling by defeating Nigeria’s Blessing Oborududu.

Watch the final moments of the match below:

While an amazing accomplishment, this victory wasn’t what made the public go gaga over her. It’s how she responded afterward.

With an American flag proudly wrapped around her, Mensah-Stock expressed to the entire world how much she loves this country.

“I love representing the U.S.! I freaking love living there! I love it! And I’m so happy that I get to represent U.S.A.!” she hollered with pride.

Listen:

Her words, a stark contrast to the anti-American rhetoric of Rapinoe and Berry, made her an instant sensation.

David Hookstead of The Daily Caller: “This is what real patriotism looks like. LeBron James and Colin Kaepernick could learn a lesson from her.”

Todd Starnes of Fox News: “What a great American patriot and athlete!! God bless America and Tamyra Mensah-Stock!”

Megyn Kelly: “God bless @MensahTamStock for this much needed dose of patriotism & joy and congratulations on making history!!!! You are inspiring!!!”

Benny Johnson of Newsmax: “This is a winner. This is how you represent your country. Take notes.”

Kirstie Alley: “There’s that Olympic spirit!! Congratulations Tamara Mensah-Stock on the GOLD! And THANK YOU for representing our country with such exuberance and grace.”

Meanwhile, the wider public took aim at Rapinoe and Berry to mock them over their stinging defeats and remind them what real patriotism looks like.

Observe:

Both Rapinoe and Berry got knocked the hell out at the Olympics.

On Monday, Canada defeated the U.S. women’s national soccer team and its team captain, Rapinoe.

The team’s defeat provoked massive celebration among Americans fed up with the team’s obnoxiousness and anti-Americanism.

A day later, Berry suffered a “crushing” defeat, striking out without even earning a single medal.

“Berry recorded a 71.35 in the hammer throw but finished far from the podium. She finished in 11th out of 12 competitors. Poland’s Anita Wlodarczyk won the gold medal and Malwina Kopron won the bronze medal. China’s Wang Zheng won the silver,” Fox News reported.

Ouch.

The irony is that she reportedly performed a “protest” right before she got wiped out.

“Gwen Berry raised a fist twice before the hammer thrower started her competition at the Tokyo Olympics on Tuesday night,” according to Fox News.

Oh well …
