Rap star Ice Cube insisted he is “not playing politics” as he continued to defend his decision to work with President Trump on his “Platinum Plan” for black Americans.

The 51-year-old rapper and actor, whose real name is O’Shea Jackson, spoke with Fox News host Chris Wallace on Sunday about his efforts and, once again, attempted to set the record straight on his involvement with the Trump administration and the plan to invest $500 million into black communities.

“It’s a long way from the inner city streets of Compton, California to the corridors of power in Washington. Not to mention the journey from the tough talk of rap to serious proposals for America’s future,” Wallace said on “Fox News Sunday” as he introduced Ice Cube as the Power Player of the Week.

“For more than three decades, rapper Ice Cube has been calling out the system in his music. But now, he’s turned to political action. Over the summer, Cube released a contract with black America, calling for reforms to close the opportunity gap in this country,” Wallace explained.

“We make up 13 percent of the country, and we’re only getting .5 percent of the wealth in the country,” Ice Cube said. “Descendants of slaves, the ones who built this country, are being kind of forgotten in the fray.”

The artist had reached out to both 2020 presidential campaigns about his “A Contract With Black America” campaign but was told by former Vice President Joe Biden’s camp that they would not be able to meet until after the election.

But President Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner ended up meeting with the rapper for several hours.

“They listened, heard what I had to say, pumped up their plan and presented it to the people,” Ice Cube told Wallace.

The rapper praised the president’s “Platinum Plan” on Twitter, saying that Democrats “got every black celebrity” on “their team,” so “they just figured tell Cube to shut the f— up and vote.”

Though the artist has not divulged who he will be voting for next week, and has never come out and endorsed Trump, he came under heavy fire for meeting with the administration, repeatedly defending himself in recent days while going on the offense against the haters on the left.

“Some people called you a sellout. Some people said you were working with the dark side,” Wallace told the N.W.A rapper whose recording songs like “F— tha Police,” from the 1988 album “Straight Outta Compton.”

“I mean, that’s their opinion. They obviously don’t know the facts or won’t accept the facts. I told everybody that, you know, I’m not playing politics with this. I’m willing to meet with anybody who could bring this to life and make it a reality,” Ice Cube replied.

He had addressed the accusations on Twitter as well.

“He says he doesn’t know whether he’ll vote for Trump or Biden. But he does have a plan. Has cube mellowed over the years?” Wallace asked.

“I still think it’s a bunch of stupid people that keep this system in place, but for the most part I understand why it’s there,” he replied.

“Whether Donald Trump is re-elected or Joe Biden wins and becomes the new president, what are you going to be doing to try to push the system over the next four years?” the Fox News anchor asked.

“Find pressure points. That’s the only way you can push,” Ice Cube responded. “My daddy told me a long time ago, ‘No matter who’s the president, you gotta get up to go to work in the morning,’ and I always remember that. So no matter who’s the president, I’m gonna get up and go to work in the morning.”

Rapper and hip-hop mogul 50 Cent also sparked a meltdown after recently urging Americans to vote for Trump, citing Biden’s tax plan. He was bashed as a sellout as well though many came to his and Ice Cube’s defense.
