Hostile progressive fired for harassing Trump supporter has gone missing, cops asking for tips

The woman who, early in April, garnered national notoriety when she harassed an elderly Jewish Trump supporter in a Palo Alto Starbucks has been reported missing. Rebecca Parker Mankey did not return home after visiting a friend and was reported as missing to police.

Sgt. Aaron Clark of the Lake County Sheriff’s office said that investigators believe she dropped “off the grid” to evade the negative attention she has been receiving. He said, “We have nothing that makes us think she’s at-risk. We’ve determined from the people we’ve talked to that she is voluntarily missing.”

He also indicated that cellphone activity placed Mankey in the Aberdeen area of Washington state, about 9 am Friday.

Mankey has reportedly received death threats after the story went viral about how she chose to suddenly start harassing a 74-year old man minding his own business in a Starbucks because he was wearing a MAGA hat.

Mankey herself posted photos and her deluded description of the episode on her Facebook page, apparently hoping to elevate her own standing in the weird leftist universe of hate-everybody. Some reports indicated that she is a member of Antifa, and based on what we know of her at this point, that certainly would ring true.

She posted: “He will never forget me and will think seriously about wearing that hat in my town ever again.”

Instead, the backlash of reality came quickly as she lost her accounting job at a music shop. A social media debate swirled around whether Mankey’s assault on the Trump supporter represented extremism that was over-the-line.

In the aftermath, according to The Mercury News, she also stepped down as co-chair, officer, and member of the Bayshore Progressive Democrats. On their Facebook page this was posted: “Parker felt strongly that she wanted to use her privilege as a white woman to stand up for those who are living in fear because of the hateful atmosphere fostered by Trump. Unfortunately the manner in which she chose to stand up against a slogan that stands for racism led to an even stronger hateful response that has endangered her and her family.”

Victor F. is the name of the man who unwittingly became the target of the 46-year-old lady with the goth-black Mohawk hairstyle. “This crazy woman came over and started raving at me,” he told KPIX 5. She turned to the rest of Starbucks and said, ‘Hey everybody, here’s this racist over here. He hates brown people, he’s crazy, he’s a Nazi, and so forth.”

He sat there calmly by all reports, but he did say he found the Nazi name-calling particularly hurtful since he is Jewish. He wears a yarmulke under his MAGA hat.

Although they believe the woman is in no danger, police are asking for tips on Mankey’s whereabouts.
