Celebrity doctor Drew Pinsky hasn’t officially examined Robert “Beto” O’Rourke but he’s convinced there’s “something not right” with the 2020 Democratic candidate.
The physician, who is board certified in internal and addiction medicine, has a “gut” feeling about the disconnect he sees with O’Rourke and spoke about his presidential announcement during an appearance on Fox Nation’s “Brian Kilmeade Show” Friday.
“I thought that was Tony Robbins,” the “Celebrity Rehab” host said, referring to the motivational speaker and life coach.
“I’m just saying, there’s something gonna go down there. I can feel it coming. I don’t know what it is… There’s something not right,” Pinsky added, reacting to O’Rourke’s announcement on Thursday that he was joining the already crowded Democratic field of 2020 presidential contenders.
“That’s his new rock band, being like Tony Robbins,” the doctor said, again referring to the 59-year-old author of self-help books and known for his motivational seminars.

“How do you explain the big crowds without him talking or accomplishing much?” Kilmeade asked, referring to the large audiences that the former Texas congressman draws to see and hear him.
“He uses a lot of expletives. People like that,” he replied.
“What are you picking up?” Kilmeade asked Pinsky to make an assessment.
“Something in my gut. I’m not sure yet,” Pinsky responded. “I haven’t really examined it carefully enough. I just can tell there’s a disconnect between what people think they’re seeing and what’s there. That’s where I’m at.”
O’Rourke’s announcement didn’t exactly fire up his fellow Democrats with excitement, as CNN’s senior political reporter, Nia-Malika Henderson, noted it was “essentially like a yawn.” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was hard-pressed to name even one “signature accomplishment” of the 2018 Senate candidate who lost to GOP Sen. Ted Cruz in November.

Ohio Sen. Sherrod Brown told CNN’s Alisyn Camerota, “I have no reaction. I just — one more, one more, one more gets in the race.”
Pinsky may not have been able to put a finger on what has him unsure about O’Rourke, but many were making up their minds about the Democrat soon after his announced candidacy as the increased scrutiny uncovered a peculiar poem he penned as a teen, asking a sacred cow to “wax my *ss” and “scrub my ba**s.”
Even President Trump found some things a little “crazy” about the 46-year-old.

“I’ve never seen hand movement, I watched him a little while this morning, doing, I assume some kind of a news conference. I’ve actually never seen anything quite like it. Study it. I’m sure you’ll agree,” Trump said.
