Deceived Lara Trump scolds former-friend Omarosa: She’s ‘shown her true colors’… it’s all about cash

President Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, sat down Monday evening with Fox News’ Sean Hannity and spoke about what she described as the “incredible opportunity” Omarosa Manigault-Newman “wasted.”

“I considered her a friend,” Trump said. “I’m incredibly disappointed in her and more than anything, I’m just so sad because what an incredible opportunity she wasted.”

Trump, married to the president’s second son, Eric Trump, said Omarosa has “shown her true colors” in throwing everything away for a few trinkets from her new book.

“The president gave her the chance to make a difference, to take care of people that she claimed to care about,” Mrs. Trump said. “And here she has squandered it for this fictitious ridiculous book and, obviously, she has shown her true colors.”

She also said she was proud of her father-in-law for being willing to give Omarosa a chance.

“But the thing that I’m so proud of is that the president gave her that chance, and this is a man that’s done this his whole life, throughout his business career, Donald Trump has given people the opportunity to better themselves,” Trump said.

As for the “fictitious” claim, another subject mentioned in Omarosa’s book, Katrina Pierson, the senior adviser to Trump’s 2020 campaign, responds to a passage about the president allegedly using the n-word to say Omarosa’s account “did not happen.”

“It sounds like she’s writing a script for a movie,” Pierson told Fox News’ Ed Henry.

“I’m not going to be angry about it,” she added. “Clearly, Omarosa is in a very desperate situation. I really do feel sorry for her. This is obviously cash for trash.”

The Trump 2020 reelection campaign disputed another claim made by Omarosa, that she was offered her a job paying $15,000 per month — essentially hush money to stay quiet about Trump after being fired by the White House.

More from the Daily Mail:

The campaign official emphasized Monday that an unemployed Omarosa initiated the employment discussions that followed, and ‘of course it’s absolutely ridiculous that we offered her hush money.’

‘She was offered a legitimate job with a legitimate salary.’

Instead of a contract offer adding up to $180,000 annually, a few dollars above what she earned at the White House, she shopped for a book deal.

And expect plenty more drama in the days ahead, because Politico reported that the former Trump aide, who has already dumped secretly taped recordings of President Trump and White House Chief of Staff John Kelly, has recording of Ivanka Trump and husband, Jared Kushner.

More from Politico:

Jilted ex-“Apprentice” star and former White House aide Omarosa Manigault Newman has told friends and associates that she has tapes of private phone calls from first daughter Ivanka Trump and her husband, Jared Kushner, according to two sources with whom she has discussed the recording.

She claims her stash of recordings — which she is dribbling out to keep the publicity machine going around the release of her new book “Unhinged” — includes a condolence call she received from the couple the day after she was fired by chief of staff John Kelly last December.

Both Trump and Kushner can be heard wishing Manigault Newman the best and telling her they had no idea her head was on the chopping block, according to the people with whom she has discussed the call.
